Interview with
Linda Lin

“Linda Lin’s first coffee‑related role was far from quiet. “I started out on the open outcry trading floor at the NYBOT exchange, working as a clerk,” she says – an environment where coffee was as much a constant as the noise and pace.

Her personal connection to coffee deepened later on. There was a moment when medical treatment had reached its limits and yet, “a triple‑shot latte managed to get me upright again within 30 minutes,” Linda says and adds: “Coffee may not be officially listed in the treatment plan, but it earned its place in my recovery story.”

She has now been with NKG for almost six years, working as a Price Risk Manager with a focus on hedging. What she values most about her team? “Their passion for coffee, their thirst for knowledge and the pride they take in their work.” And if a job swap were possible: “Anyone whose stress test doesn’t involve checking futures prices before dawn.”

How do you like to drink your coffee and in which situation? (For example, a Café Latte in a nice café on weekends, an Espresso at work …)

Soymilk latte anytime of the day.

What makes you laugh a lot?

Clever jokes, stand up comedy and friends who can be silly together.

Do you have any hidden skill nobody expects you to have?

Apparently have a hidden talent for keeping plants alive, turning my house into a small jungle.

If you could be any fictional character for a week, who would it be and what adventures would you have?

I’d probably pick Doctor Strange, not even for the superhero part, but because being able to bend time and open portals would make family life so much easier. One version of me could be at work, another at the kids’ activities, and another actually relaxing somewhere with good vibes.

What small changes in everyday life do you believe can have a big impact?

Consistent exercise, even 20–30 minutes a day makes a huge difference physically and mentally as we get older.
