What does a perfect weekend look like for you?
A definite part of perfect for me is diversity, but the things that make me happy and feeling rested for another week would be some form of physical activity. Yoga or pilates have been a staple for many years and in the time I have spent living in Norway, I have come to appreciate going to the sauna and swimming in the cold cold winter waters. I like good food and enjoy cooking, especially if it is for people I care about.
What is the most memorable trip or vacation you’ve ever taken and why?
The theme of good food is a deep rooted one, so most of my holidays revolve around meeting some of my favorite people in different parts of the world and exploring the places and the food these places offer. Some of my favorites are Italy, going back home to Cape Town, Peru, more recently I loved experiencing more of Indonesia and the incredible food.
How do you like to drink your coffee and in which situation?
I like black filter coffee; my favorite is probably the morning routine of making myself a cup of coffee. It has to do with the coffee but also the moment before the day has really begun.
What makes you laugh a lot?
I think I often laugh at unexpected things but often this will involve people’s reactions to things when they react unusually.
Do you have any hidden skills nobody expects you to have?
I don’t think I have any surprise skills.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, and who gave it to you?
I think that there has not been one single piece of advice that I can recount as being the best but I have had the privilege of having people in my life who have been good examples and cumulatively have imparted wisdom that I have benefited from. And even the times that they have been bad examples have been learning experiences, too!
Pistachio anything, but especially ice cream, pesto and paste.

Pablo is an indispensable member of the InterAmerican Coffee team in San Diego, known for his unwavering support for colleagues and his dedication to nurturing a community of small and medium roasters aligned with NKG’s vision for a better coffee future.
In a world where coffee is an everyday occurrence for many, there is much more to it for us at InterAmerican Coffee. As an importer and trader of green coffee, a journey to the origins is therefore part of our mission. At the beginning of October 2024, we teamed up with six customers on a 12-day trip to the coffee-growing regions of Brazil.
Neumann Gruppe in Hamburg consists of departments with a diverse variety of functions and competencies, which both serve the general strategic orientation of NKG and provide specific support for the group companies. In our INSIDE NKG MAG we want to look at what competencies exist in the holding company, for whom these could be helpful and interesting, who is responsible for what, and a lot more. In this issue we would like to introduce the Treasury Department of Neumann Gruppe.
